Paper Lampshade

The Project.

I constructed a paper lampshade under the self imposed design condition of utilizing 1 repeating form. This design angle allowed me to experiment with the different ways to create depth and dimension using a flat repeating square panel. I drew inspiration from terracotta tiles and the charm and beauty in the imperfection of the grout lines. This was my thought process behind utilizing the repeating square form as a layering surface, and I thought of the light s seeping through the charming imperfect grout lines created by the repetition of this tile.
