American Ninja Warrior House

From dining table

To monkey bars

This home lays at

the intersection of

athletic training

and domestic living.

The Project.

The American Ninja Warrior House highlights the versatility of space and the integration of athletic training into a living space. American Ninja Warrior is a competitive obstacle course TV show, so for this architecture assignment, I created a structure that would enable these competitors to live and train together.

The floors are suspended from the ceiling, and it is necessary to climb between them in order to travel throughout the house.

The hanging floor apparatus is set inside a glass box to demonstrate the public eye the competitors live in as this TV show is highly public and popular.

The grid structures are built into the architecture of the house and are meant to accommodate a variety of clip on obstacle pieces for training.

I also designed a versatile dining table that can be converted to monkey bars in order to showcase the pinnacle of this project: the integration of training equipment into domestic spatial design.

The People.

This project was completed independently as a part of the Architecture I course at Wesleyan University.
